I’ve added a few more items to the list of trimmings I’ve made around here. All things, so far, that I have wanted to do for a long long time. Somehow I found that over the last few days I’ve been able to work extremely focused on this site, and I’m afraid that by doing so I have neglected a few other things, such as content. But you’ve gotta build the boat before you load it with people, right? At least, that’s the way it works in Civilization 3.
So for you people waiting for the Kubrick theme, fear not, since that design and this, are basically the same, all this code clean up will be good for you too.
Here is a list of the things that I have yet to do. One of Rikke’s friends is staying with us until Sunday, and I’ll have a good deal of time until then to work on this, the list of things yet to be done.
- Archives: Archives have been vastly improved, but still needs a little work.
- Gallery: Just like the photo gallery, the other gallery needs to work better. I want to try and integrate it into WP and use it as a CMS, but I don’t know if that’s possible…
- Categories: The categories are a mess. Too many, too diverse, too imprecise.
If there’s something that’s been annoying you, or something you would like to see more of, now’s the time to chime in.
The following mail was sent to me on July 27th, 1999, telling us to cease and desist our USCM: Infestation efforts. I was at a computer Party in Aalborg at the time I received it. I have subsequently lost it again, but luckily Christoffer had it in his archives from when I sent it out to the team members.

I am looking for the soundtrack for The Bounty by Vangelis. It has never been officially released, and as far as I know, has two bootleg copies on the market today, one from 1994 and one from 1995, both more or less identical. I have looked high and low, searched through endless p2p networks and newsgroups and even made a pact with the devil (who is now officially my cleaning aid, the looser).
I cannot find it.
If you can find it for me, I’ll surrender my header to you for 3 whole days.

In December 1998, after I had finished my 10 months of service in the Danish army, I started digging into level design again. Something I hadn’t been able to find any time for during most of ’98. This led to me joining up with a group of guys in the early winter months of ’99. The project: to do a Total Conversion for Half-Life, based on the Aliens franchise.

So close. If you would like to test this theme for Wordpress 1.2 for me, get in contact with me.
Update: The first beta is literally just out the door. Thank you for all your mails, I am quite overwhelmed :)
The Guardian has some follow-up on the Half-Life 2 sourcecode arrests:
“Investigations are continuing, with those involved found to have links with similar crimes. Valve is preparing to sue the hackers for damages, while working towards an end-of-summer release date for Half-Life 2 – widely considered the most anticipated shooter in PC gaming history.”
Normally I wouldn’t really want to mention this, if it wasn’t that I had covered it rather comprehensively when it first hit the net. And also, I wanted to just take the time out of my schedule to address a little something, namely the FBI Cybercrime Task Force…
Cybercrime… Cyber… Not only is it so cheesy it hurts my head, but you can’t even use the word ‘cyber’ in that way! It’s not a catch-all term for the Internet or technology dammit! (here’s why)
