What the title says. I’m a massive Bourne fan, and their stinkin’ trailer site is teh blows (again!). Great; thanks Yahoo. Please; pass the baton to Apple, they know what they’re doing.
Either way, that’s one exclusive trailer. So exclusive in fact that I can’t watch it…
Update: Despite everyone writing in to tell me that it works, I can assure you that it still doesn’t work. And this is not the first time a trailer decides not to play for me on Yahoo’s site.
Update: At work now, on a Windows machine. Still doesn’t work. I’m wondering if they’re blocking countries on the IP. Usually things like that are listed on the page, but I see nothing…
I feel your pain. I ended up copying the url of the size I wanted and sticking it right into quicktime. Slow loads, but eventually got to see it.
Are you talking about their Yahoo video player (I think it’s just WMV actually) or the HD links? Cause the Hi Def videos are fine for me?
The Quicktime link worked fine for me in Camino?
Well it worked for me…
Despite a slight pause when the popup first opens, which is probably my comuters fault anyway.
Good trailer, great series, CANT WAIT!
(i love your flickr thing down the bottom)
Uhm , I can download it for you if you are totally stuck….
It was slow, but it loaded in QT for me…eventually.
Thanks for the heads-up for this, I knew there had to be another one, as there are 3 books.
Looked good for me in QT. Can’t wait til August now.
When I click in the Quicktime HD versions of the trailers at Yahoo they download as a qtl in my desktop, when I play that with Quicktime nothing happens. But I learned the trick, I open the qtl with a text editor and search for a long URL ended in mov, which opens fine in Quicktime.
It stinks, yeah.
Hmm… Downloaded the .qtl, opened it in QT, played nice with me…
And I’m just across the pond (Norway), so I don’t think it’s IP barring…
I did okay with the link.
I too am a big fan of the Bourne series. I’m very much looking forward to the new movie.
come on.. I thought you were a geek.. download the qtl file and open it in a text editor (like textedit).. copy the URL contained and open that URL in quicktime…
Yeah, I’m a geek; but 99.9% of the people watching that trailer, aren’t.
You know what’s funny about the Bourne thing? At the end of the second film, it says something to the effect of Jason Bourne being born in Nixa, Missouri.
Nixa doesn’t have a hospital being that it’s a hub of Springfield, Missouri. And it sure didn’t have one in 1974.
So anyway. A bit of nerd facts for you.
The video plays fairly quickly from an Ubuntu Edgy system. Yahoo really needs to get on the Flash video band wagon though.
