Managing Halo 3 Screenshots?

Can someone explain to how to manage an upload my screenshots in Halo 3? I’ve hit the upper limit of 50, but none of them are showing up on bungie.net, and I don’t know how to prune them out (except through the theater -> Film -> Film Share -> Screenshots, which is… cumbersome, to say the least).

And no, I will not shut up about teh Halo already.

Update: Might be the Bungie servers that’re backlogged, as ten screenshots just popped up while I was watching a couple of Freaks and Geeks episodes.

  • My first 3 took a day to appear under ‘screenshots’ on Bungie. I dont think any you take offline appear unless you put them under ‘file share’ (in which case you only get 6 ‘slots’ for screenshots, films etc unless you pay for Bungie Pro.

Hopefully the ones I took earlier today will turn up under screenshots tomorrow but I cant see a better way of managing them other than uploading 6 to file sharing then downloading via PC/Mac and archiving them.

  • Yeah, it seems like the “high res screenshots” section in the Bungie.net profiles is a bit wonky. I’ve only had 3 of the dozen or so I’ve taken actually appear there. File share seems to work pretty well, though. You only get 6 slots, but you can replace items as you go. So do 6 at a time, then replace them all, rinse and repeat…

Don’t forget to add them to the Halo 3 Screenshots pool I started on Flickr. There’s some great stuff up there already.

  • I really want a Xbox now

  • Speaking of screenshots, is it just me or does the Theater mode really lose points for no rewind function? I just started messing with it, so maybe I’ll get better at slo-mo advancements and timing, but I’ve spotted a few points I’d like to get caps of, but I go just too far to miss the exact moment, and then have to exit and reload the film. Blarg.

On the other hand, massive points for Bungie letting me share my moments with others, plus make my own personalized wallpapers! :D So, maybe it balances out. ;)

  • Yeah, it’d be nice if it scrubbed smoothly in both directions. But it’s probably a miracle that it works at all!
