If you live in one of the few places that is currently screening Blade Runner, like Los Angeles or New York, you owe it to me to go and see it on the big screen. I’ve been hearing wonderous things from Oliver about the cut and the quality of the digital master. So please, since I can’t go, you should. And yeah, I checked, and from what I can see, the showing in New York has stopped by the 21st, when we land there… Dammit.
Update: Check out the running times
You are exactly right Michael!
I saw it the other day and it was excellent!
Additionally, might I say this is a nice change from all the halo posting (not that it was bad, just a bit monotonous)
oh, while I am here, might I ask, have you released binary bonsai as a skin? I simply love your blog!
No, not yet anyway.
Michael, head over to the official site and select “New York” from the top-right corner under “In Theaters – Limited Time Only”. The available dates for the showing the New York theater extend all the way to January 5, 2008! It looks like you can only order tickets up to about ten days ahead of time, but it’s nice to know that you’ll have plenty of changes to see it once you arrive.
James, when I go to look up dates, I can’t find any running dates after the 18th or so.
Hm, it looks like you’re right. The pull-down menu has dates up to January 5th, but times are only available up to October 18th. I had originally guessed that you could only order tickets up to about ten days ahead of time, but the cutoff still remains at the 18th a day later. This could change though, so keep your eyes on it. I’ve noticed that some currently running movies on MovieTickets.com only have tickets available up to three days in advance.
It would be nice if Warner Brothers listed a definitive cutoff date on the official site.
The new Blade runner cut? whats new in it?
Don’t know for sure. I purposely haven’t looked it up yet, as I want it to be a surprise :)
