So I played a few hours of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, which aside from a name that turns me off like a cross does a vampire, and a marketing campaign to match, is actually really really good so far. Looks good, snappy dialog, mostly fun puzzles, great score (Greg Edmondson of Firefly fame) and though the whole lone wolf treasure hunter genre is a bit cramped these days, it’s always nice to play around with a substitute Indy.
Now allow me to clear up a misunderstanding bound to happen. No, the main character isn’t voiced by Nathan Fillion. But really, he might as well have been, because Nolan North, who actually voices him, sounds (almost) exactly like him.
And that’s a good thing.
You got your PS3 at a good time. There’s actually a handful of exclusives worth playing now.
I finished Uncharted a couple nights ago and really enjoyed it. I’ve been dragging my ass on writing about it and this morning’s Burnout Paradise demo bumped it out of the queue, but I’ll get to it soon. Lots of good things to say, though.
And yes, Drake sure does sound a lot like Nathan Fillion.
I played the demo on my friend’s PS3, and I was immediately hooked to it. The game looks beautiful, and the controls are easy to adapt, specially if you are familiar with Gears of Wars, then you should be fine during shootouts against pirates.
I like a lot. I have tried and it is easy, but it is very expensive, too much money.
Greetings.
Michael,
Whatever you’re playing, it’s a waste of time unless it’s currently Assassin’s Creed or COD4. Pick your platform, but I find them both to be insane. Don’t worry, Kane & Lynch is next on my list of to buy ;-)
Already played COD4 through. Loved it :) — AC is all good and well, but simply too repetitive.
