I’m caught on the second-to-last tier in Guitar Hero III, and there are a couple of songs I find to be impossible. If not downright improbable.
And if you’ve played it, regardless of whether or not you’re stuck before or after that point (because stuck you are, or will be), you will be able to fully appreciate this piece.
That piece is be-a-utiful! I wish i had Guitar Hero 3.. Well, i’ll just have to wait ‘till the money comes in, until then, i’ll just have to be satisfied with GH2 :)
From what I’ve seen and read of GH3, I’ve made the decision to let it pass me by. I had fun with GH2, but I can’t stand this trend we seem to be in where the last 5% of the game is so ridiculously hard to the point that it’s insulting. That, and the fact that this game shipped with so many bugs and literally unfinished game modes, I don’t think I can bring myself to give Activision my money for this title. Instead, I’ll wait until Rock Band is readily available and take to the skins. After all, I’d much rather play a plastic drum kit over a plastic guitar. ;)
BTW Michael, have you seen Zero Punctuation’s GH3 review? Pure gold!

I know just what you mean, I have been playing guitar ever since high school and I have practiced every weekend ever since, and I can not even get half way thru the second tier in Guitar Hero III but it is still a lot of fun to play.
