I didn’t quite get why the iPhone needed a compass until I was explained how it could be used for this application. You see because you could extrapolate north from the GPS, by simply moving a few meters. Of course this is a bit quicker.
Theres also a London Underground version this (though not specifically London as I dont go generally there) is quite a compelling reason for upgrading to the 3GS.
Very nice. It’s really amazing that these types of apps start to crop up. Will be even more interesting when you can get it straight on your retina :D
