TomTom. Apple. I Want My Money Back

Before we ventured out on our roadtrip, I bought TomTom’s US/Canada and Nordic apps for the iPhone for an awful lot of money. Hey, I thought, always having a navigation system in my pocket is a pretty nifty tool for traveling around a foreign country. Gee, golly.

Off we went, got the car, fired up the TomTom app aaaaand… FAIL.

The new iTunes Store layout was a turn for the better in most ways, but whatever drugs caused these masterminds of usability to turn the ‘Buy’ button into a multi-functional dropdown button, it must be illegal in most countries.

And, Exhale

The lack of chronicling from our recently wrapped three-week roadtrip through 3500 miles of magnificient US countryside and cities isn’t from lack of wanting to bore you to death with the details; but between a whirlwind trip to see various parts of the family trees and a waterlanding of a ‘back to work’ start, in which I managed to get the cold before lunch was served, time and energy has taken a toll.
