It’s been a while since I was last properly hooked for a film, but I gotta say, Inception is looking bad ass.

And the fact that it is directed by Christopher Nolan and has been described as “a contemporary science fiction action movie set within the architecture of the mind.”
As I wrote in my movie summary of the year, Inception is the movie I am most looking forward to. And the cast isn’t too bad either; Leonardo DiCaprio, Josepth Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Cillian Murphy and Michael Caine
Yeah, I really liked Dark Knight, but not to the extent others seem to evangelize it; but it is a really good film, and mood-wise it looks like he’s bringing some of that over to Inception, which is great.
It’s not so much limited solely to The Dark Knight. Memento is pure creative genius and The Prestige is one of my favourite ever movies, so cleverly written and most people don’t understand it and think it’s a sci-fi!
It looks cool, but I have some doubts about it. It feels as if someone said to him “I want a film like the Dark Knight”, and we all know how that usually turns out..
On the other hand, he’s in a position after Dark Knight where I think he’s one of the few directors who could probably do anything he wanted to do. And, mind you this is an original IP, it’s one of the exceedingly few non-sequels and remakes coming out…
leondardo decaprio is the man
Oooh, original IP – it feels like I’ve forgotten what it tastes like. (Although, wasn’t Avatar Orig IP too?)
It was, and perhaps the single biggest gamble in Hollywood history.
