Of Life In Computers

I grew up in Denmark and have loved computers since my grandfather first introduced me to them when I could barely walk. Throughout I've been fascinated with Human-Computer Interaction Design.

In the early 90s I discovered the internet from a 1200-baud modem and I ran my own BBS (19.2k baud). In the mid-90s as the World Wide Web took shape I fell in love with HTML.

In the late 90s I designed worlds and gameplay for DooM, Quake and Half-life as a hobby, spent 10 months in the armored infantry, before in the early 2000s freelancing on games like Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, and finally getting my BA Computer Arts from University of Abertay Dundee, Scotland.

In Denmark from 2004 to 2010 I designed graphics and gameplay for Hitman and Kane & Lynch at Io Interactive, while spending all my spare time designing templates and interfaces for open source projects like WordPress and Habari.

In 2010 I joined Squarespace as the Director of Interface and have since been intimately involved with the company's many ventures, having lead design and development on several of its largest initiatives.

Today as the Director of Product Design I have the privilege of leading the team behind our world-class product experiences, shaping the future of the industry.

I live in New York with my wonderful wife.
