Phew, long time no see. I’m finally done with my presentation/exam. Overall I’d say that it went fairly well (though this jury’s gonna be out on that one for a few weeks). For anyone interested in Abertay and Computer Arts, I can tell you as much as I made my entire presentation as a 14 minute long video. Which I must say is something of a gamble, and mostly something we’ve all be joking about doing. But it seems that the tutors found it interesting. (and if nothing else, it’ll save them the relentless onslaught of computer crashes and CPU speed problems at the presentations.)
Anyway, in other news I just played my first level released in a major commercial title (Medal of Honor: Spearhead, the mission pack for MOH: Allied Assault). Skip down and read my January 5th entry if you have no idea what I’m talking about.
I’ve taken loads of screenshots that I’m gonna put up here to show. There are definetly a few changes in it, some of which are bad and some of which are good. I think my final verdict is that they’ve improved (almost over-improved) the flow of the level by adding a LOT of openings in walls and houses, and in return they botched some of the texturing. (Don’t get me started on lighting!).
For now, here’re two of the shots.
Now somebody buy that damn book so I can gets me some moneeee-ey!

I’m selling my copy of Digital Domain: The Leading Edge of Visual Effects, a book about Digital Domain (strangely enough). It’s on Amazon.Co.Uk (direct link to auction). It’s an interesting read, going over some of the older techniques as well as more modern techniques. Like for instance the use of models and the (surprisingly) complicated process of shooting greenscreen. Feel free to buy it…

To all of my friends out there who follow my existance through this website because I suck at mailing and calling. Yes, Rikke and I have broken up. It lasted for almost 8 good years, but now it’s over. We remain the best of friends though.
Oh yeah, and I’m now back in Scotland, at what is now officially my permanent address…

Happy New Year and all that.
Lots of changes for me lately, I’ll put everyone up to date soon enough, but I’m still in Denmark (editing this page with Notepad :). For now,
let me just throw this link at you (Laser Arena). Up until now it was the only commercially published game that I had any of my work in (a single level), but I just found out tonight that I might have a multiplayer level by the name of Bahnhof in Medal of Honor: Spearhead! :)
Now I haven’t been able to check it out properly, but I did find a single screenshot that I recognize from when I was working on it, though it does look a bit different now from when I was working on it. I’ll keep you updated ;)
Until then, behave and don’t do anything I wouldn’t do ;).
