‘Kubrick’ is coming along nicely. In fact – and watch closely, as I am about to tempt fate – I am going to put down saturday evening (CET) as the day of release (In the immortal words of Seinfeld: “That’s your God damn day, right there!”).
My main problem right now, is in fact merely picking a properly generic photo for the header. Which is much much harder than you’d think. After all, it should be able to cover any and all kinds of blogs. No small task.
Either way, the code is looking good. Heck, it even it validates!
So what’s left for me to do, is mostly just to package everything together, make sure that all the Binary Bonsai specific stuff is out, and that it’s easy to use. Based on your responses from the other day, I have decided that it is best to simply leave out any ‘proprietary’ plugins.
I will be making ‘substantial’ changes to wp-comments.php, which in my opinion is a mess. And since I can’t abide – from a usability standpoint – dates using only numbers, I’ll have to hardcode this throughout the theme, so that it doesn’t require any additional setup from the user.

I believe Seinfeld said it this say: “That’s your God damned date right there!”.
Yeah, I think you’re right. That’s what I get for not fact checking!
You’ll be glad to know you’re at the top of the topsites thing. Personally, those topsites lists always smack of pr0n/warez sites – but in essence Google is one too, if you think about it.
Actually, it’s “That’s your God damn day, right there!”
are you going to in clue the stuff to add iPAP with the template?
Well it wasn’t my intention. I still need to fix some things in the CSS, for it to look nice on my own site, but I could release the templates separately if there’s an ‘audience’ :)
Yeah I’d love to get a template to base my own iPAP install around, can’t get my head around the default template.
Ooh, yes, iPAP-goodness! That would be most excellent.
How about bonsai snipers/scissors/pincers … whatever theyre called. A classy macro shot of steel ones would be good.
ummmmmmmm…. templates … well i guess if he needs an audience
