Announced back in May, Skype for OS X is finally out in a beta. This means I’ll have to get myself a bluetooth headset soon, as per my ‘no more wires!’ pledge.
Oh, and, one thing I hadn’t expected to be quite frank, is that it actually more or less feels like an OS X app! Good job.
Next: Webcam support, cross-platform.

Well, sorta.
For those not in the know, Firefox has two main problems on OS X. 1) it has a hidden window, which springs forth when Exposé is in action and 2) form elements are not native to OS X.
The first element should get fixed in v1.0 if I’m not mistaken, and now a kind soul has been sweet enough to do something about the second problem. New form elements. Not OS X, but better than nothing.

So it would seem that this is the new iMac G5…

‘Ugly’ springs to mind. As does ‘Mistake’.
Personally I would want the G4 model over the G5 any day of the week, if the hardware wasn’t so much better in the G5.
Update: This is how it looks like orthographically (nearly) and hi-res.

Last weekend, while making my usual rounds on the net, I decided to follow a link on the Mozilla.org to their Mozilla Store. This ended up in me making a purchase, which managed make its way back, from California, to good old Denmark, last friday.
I was sick of course, and so didn’t get it until today, but now I can flaunt my propaganda swag around town till I’m blue in the face. And speaking of blue…

Did you know that the original Night of the Living Dead is public domain? It is. If you haven’t seen it, you really should, it’s a landmark movie. And it has zombies… What’s not to like?
So why not just go download it, pick your flavor.
PS: We actually have the DVD. Which is sort of an interesting story, since we’ve had two versions of it. The first we bought was a 20th anniversary edition, which had new scenes inserted… And by new scenes, I mean new scenes, as in filmed many years later! It was quite frankly, atrocious, especially since the ‘new’ scenes added absolutely nothing new to the movie.
But we soon sold that version, and recently purchased the ‘real’ version. In a local shop (yes, for local people).
