MTV and VH1

Finding a music video on MTV or VH1 is like searching for extra terrestrial intelligence. A lot of false alarms and otherwise just heaps of background noise. It’s all degenerated into ‘come see how the celebrities live’, ‘come see how the celebrities eat’, ‘come see the celebrities!’. That, and of course ‘top 100 sexy celebrities’, ‘top 100 sexy videos’, ‘top 100 scandals’, ‘top 100 ways of lowering your intelligence while watching TV’.

Too bad too, there are some really great music video’s out there. Like Mark Romanek’s 99 Problems (oh, and go check out the rest of his archive, he’s done some amazing stuff!)

The Best Way To Work?

I’ve just got to archive this little gem for posterity. Scoble addresses a bug in the TabletPC software, and in explaining why he himself hasn’t encountered it he tells us that:

“I shut down my Tablet PC most evenings and start it up from a fresh boot. Why do I do that? Because I’ve been using computers for 20 years and have learned that’s the best way to work.” #

Too… many… jokes… Must… not… bash… Windows.

I need Script Editor

For some very odd reason, I do not have Script Editor anywhere on my HDD. If you’re on Panther, I’d be very happy if you’d send me a copy of it. Thanks. It should be in Applications/AppleScript.

Update: Wow, my inbox is overflowing here! Thank you very much :D — You people rock!

I finished The Second Coming of Steve Jobs on audiobook a few months back, and so this NextStep (I’ve given up on that whole capitalization thing they had going) video was pretty cool to see in conjunction with that.

What’s even more interesting, is drawing parallels between NS and OS X. There’s just so many things that have been brought over.

Seal In Concert

Seal

In a case of pure serendipity, Rikke and I were actually looking or information on U2’s upcoming concert in Denmark, when we learned that Seal was visiting Copenhagen in April. And the tickets went on sale when? The next morning, that’s when.

Color Playtime

Just in case you hadn’t noticed, I’ve been playing around with the colors a little bit. I’m just experimenting, with no particular goal…

Reason for Bonsai Downtime

The B has had some downtime these last few days, apparently due to a rather serious hole in Movable Type, which can turn MT installations into spam zombies. Matt has the lowdown.
