Phew, what a chaotic and absolutely exhausting weekend. Long story short: The move was moved up from tuesday to sunday in the middle of saturday (confused yet?). So three days packing was suddenly turned into one.
It all came together with the help of a few great friends and the mild laceration of the stairway ceiling.
I’ll be sure to fill in the details at some later point, but for now there’s quite a good deal of things to do.

Or: How I learned everything I need to know about games from Another World
In which I dive into one of my all time favorite games and just praise the shit out of it. At the end of this entry you will find all the necessary tools to try all this out for yourself, and I’ll tell you what the sequel to Another World is, and I’ll go as far as to say: it’s not Flashback.

Blar blar, long hard struggle, blar blar, prevail, filler blar, filler.
I’m begging you, before you go ahead and install a bunch of spam plugins, make damn sure they work properly! I’ve been seeing this thing pop up more and more, and I know that if I’m having problems with it, other legitimate users are as well. I personally will turn right around at the first sign of ‘trouble’. I don’t have the time or patience to deal with buggy plugins, and neither should you. The same goes for the ugly as hell captha’s. (though there is one captcha, and I of course can’t find the link just now, that works better than most. The one with the small images; someone send me a link?)
And a plea to plugin authors: I’m glad I’m not in your shoes. That said, I’d like to see some more focus on keeping the legitimate users unaffected by these plugins, first and foremost!
Binary Bonsai is still running largely without any spam countermeasures, and doing just fine.

Dear Adobe,
Why must you persistently release new versions of your products without improving them in the most obvious of ways? I won’t even bother touching Photoshop, we all know that there’s some improvements to be made there; this time it’s about Adobe Reader.
I downloaded version 7 yesterday because I recently bought some ebooks on DriveThruRPG. With a 20” widescreen, it seems only logical that I would want to view them using your ‘facing’ feature, which allows me to see two pages beside each other, just like in a real book; right? And of course, to minimize clutter and maximize the use of my monitor I go fullscreen.
But even after 7 versions I just cannot view pages facing while going fullscreen. Why?
Thanks,
Michael Heilemann
PS: The default OS X shortcut key for preferences is CMD-, and not CMD-K. Please take note.

Pardon me for a moment, while I wipe a nostalgic tear from my eye and exclaim: Dear God, I miss roleplaying.
