[...] Spammers have nothing, if not ironic timing. It has been a good long time since I last felt as un-blog-like as I do at the moment, yet 'John' left this comment (which I have now marked as spam) on my Ode to Summer entry: "Highly crafty and intriguing article. It highlights the intricate relationship between the subject and its essence. It is highly informative." [...]

Hey Michael , I love your website, your posts and everything. Your old site design inspired me to make this http://chadian22.no-ip.com , your livesearch got me investigating in to similar things for mine, amongst some other things I've noticed from your site that are absolutly ingenious. A lot of the stuff is still kinda buggy/not completed code, cause im doing the PHP and mySQL and CSS, all of which I need to learn some more. Thanks for the inspiration!

Up in Scotland we had a surprisingly dry summer for a change any I spent many an afternoon sitting in the back garden listening to some tunes on the Shuffle and hacking away on the PB (gotta love wifi outdoors!)

It is of course now chucking it down constantly - I expect the snow/hail soon ;)

We will not give up on Hans Island -- nor anything else with a good Canadian name like Hans. Next thing you'll be telling me The Little Mermaid was written by someone other than famous Canadian novelist Mordecai Richler. Bah.

Have you considered accepting a position at the Copenhagen tourism board?

Unrelated:

As energetic as Steve Balmer, just less bald.

Very funny.

Just to ensure that all points of view are represented here: as a southern New England resident (where the summers are too hot and muggy and many think that the winters are too cold and snowy), I always dread summer. It's all about Spring and Fall in these parts.

I can't wait for 68 degree days with the leaves changing. And there's nothing better than weather that's just crisp enough for jeans, a t-shirt, and a zippered, hooded sweatshirt. Only a few more weeks...

Thanks for the tune. these guys have alot of material, non? Symphonic rock is some of my favourite stuff.

"...picking up steam?"

Speaking of steam, has anyone seen the Steamboy movie yet? I have it scheduled on Netflix, but haven't seen it yet.

Logan, the band is Danish and their name is Baal. They do theatrical-like rock music of sorts; definitely one of the best Danish bands out there in the humble opinion of this blogger. And hey, you're in luck, most of their music is in English, unlike the one I posted here (which is I believe from a play).

You can find more info on their site.

dave, give up Hans Island, or perish!!

I'm feeling about the same way, seems like you blink and the summer is gone. I'm looking forward to a nice fall and winter holding off until the last possible moment.

And about one of you del.icio.us links, Canada never officially sent troops. Although I believe that Canadian soldiers did fight there via joining American units. You're just trying to stir up sentiment to assert the Danish claim on Hans Island. Never!

I feel your pain! I love Copenhagen in the summertime, but after living in this country for most of my life I've come to enjoy the changing of the seasons as well. I'm actually looking forward to the storms in the fall, the snow in the winter and the dark. Well, maybe not the dark... but then it's a good thing that I have the glow of my laptop to bask in.
