More Terminator Sequelness on the Way?

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. is raising hundreds of millions of dollars to produce sequels to some of its most popular films, such as The Terminator and The Pink Panther, at a time Wall Street investors are eager to pay for movie making in Hollywood, the company’s chairman said. #

More Terminator sequels? Cameron help us all…

NiN and Star Wars

Though known for playing bass for such heavy-hitters as Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, and A Perfect Circle, Jeordie White’s music endeavors actually began with a band whose main muse was Star Wars. Around the late ’80s in Florida, White and his friends formed the thrash metal band Amboog-a-Lard. Their only album, aptly named A New Hope, focused entirely on the themes and characters of the original trilogy.

Just over a month till the Copenhagen NiN concert!

High-Pitched Whine From Power Supply?

Recently I have noticed that the power supply for my Cinema Display has started emitting a high-pitched whine at night when it’s sleeping. It’s almost inaudible. Almost…

I have no idea what to do about this. I would shut it down on the switch, but that means turning off all the power in the bedroom (It’s an old building, one power outlet per room), and I hate not being able to simply sleep my computer.

I remember my old CRT monitor having the same problem, and it drove me nuts!

What the hell do I do!?

WP2.1 and the Tip of the RSS Iceberg

Figured out why my RSS feed isn’t displaying the full post anymore. Apparently Wordpress now truncates posts that use the <more> tag in RSS feeds. Funny, it never did that before. I am, now, quite pissed. #

Amen brother. Amen.

I would have written a rant about this, but I just could not be bothered. But anything Christopher says, I agree with 100%. Why would you change core functionality in a point update? It doesn’t make any sense at all. Especially since it actually removes the choice between excerpts and full-length feeds…

I’ve always proudly served fulllength feeds, since I firmly believe that excerpted feeds are lame. And now, with this new functionality, I no longer have the choice.

Adding injury to injury, the new ‘excerpt’ doesn’t even indicate to the reader of the feed that they are only seeing the tip of the iceberg!…

First forced rel=nofollow. Then snap. Now this?

Seriously.
