Other People

So I was running late this morning and I was afraid I would miss breakfast at work. So I swung by a bakery on my way to pick up an OJ and a buttered bun (well, they’re called ‘rundstykker’ in Denmark, but nevermind). As the guy is splitting the bun, he twitches; I’m thinking he’s cut himself or something, but he continues with buttering up my bun (…) and I think nothing of it.

Then, after I’ve paid and I’m on my way out, I notice that he is holding a napkin in his hand, covering a cut… Doesn’t look bloody, but am I willing to chance it? Do I really want to eat piece of bread that has been in someone else’s cut hand?

No, not so much.

So I reluctantly toss it on my way to work and grumble over wasted money and his lack of manners.

Other people; I swear.

iPod Tries to Kill Me

I love how, when you want to take your iPod with you, and it’s docked, and you check to see if the icon is on the desktop, and it’s not, but the iPod is still ‘Do not disconnect’, but you can’t eject it, so you take it anyway, and then there is no music on it… At all… Like the files are still there, but the index is gone, and so you just realized that you have to fill it up with 30GB of music again, which takes hours to do… But you’re off to work, and you only have time to write a short incoherent rant?

Thanks iPod. Thanks.

Update: Well, I reconnected my iPod, ejected it and ehm… Now it works again. So ahhh… I’ll be over here, shutting up.

Everything that has a beginning… Has an end.

Wake up Neo. The Matrix has you.

“[…] in over 20,000 theaters, in over 100 territories around the world, people are watching the third and final chapter in the Matrix trilogy. “

Will everyone please take a moment to do what I failed to do? Read the date above this entry. It should say the 5th. What happens on the 5th? The Matrix Revolutions is realeased, that’s what happens!

What date did I think it was?… The 4th, that’s right. So I was happily trucking along, went down and bought a new coat for myself (long overdue) and Rikke indulged herself in a new laserprinter. We went shopping for food and finally headed home (and bumped into an old friend/boss) to see my PDA blinking…

And now I’m just not ready to watch Matrix Revolutions!! I was going to watch all the other 3 DVD’s between now and tomorrow evening, wallow in all it’s goodness and get myself superhyped… Alas, now all I have time for is some spaghetti and out the door we go.

I was also going to do a little surprise for you all tonight, alas there is no time for that and we’ll see whether I’ll want to do it tomorrow.
