As much of my time is taken up by this blog, the platform on which is runs has also been quite important to me. That platform is of course WordPress, and I have been using it since the day it saw its first public release.

Themes

Since then I have been fortunate enough to have a theme I created be included as the default theme in WordPress as of version 1.5. That theme being Kubrick.

Currently I’m the lead on K2, a follow-up to Kubrick, which is quite a piece of work, if I do say so myself and incidentally also the theme running underneath this site.

Plugins

I came up with an idea for an improved way of laying out recent comments on a blog and forced Brian to code it for me, it became Brian’s Latest Comments

I also came up with an idea for an improved live archive browser, which Jonas Rabbe was kind enough to make a reality as Super Archives, later upgraded to Extended Live Archives by Arnaud Froment.

In addition to that, I have myself adapted code by Dunstan Orchard for a Time Since plugin.

I also integrated Live Search into WordPress (also available in a much improved version in K2).

You can view a list of the plugins I use to keep Binary Bonsai afloat.
